For my post, I picked how cutting fabric for clothing generates a lot of textile waste.  This is because the extra fabric is simply thrown away after it is cut.  In addition to this, I also chose to talk about 3D printing as a new innovation.  If we began 3D printing our clothes, the textile waste from the scrap fabric would be eliminated.  It would also decrease the carbon emissions from that same scrap fabric while it is sitting in the landfill.  To better exemplify my points, I created a Pinterest Board full of different 3D printed clothing, shoes, jewelry and even some eyewear!

  1. Frankie- great pinterest board! I love all your images..... My question for you is: What will the 3D clothing be made from in your proposal? Are you taking old textiles from the landfill to create new 3d clothing? This is truly a great thought and I think you are right we will see a sharp increase in 3D!!
